THE success of the F24 Project at BRAG has seen the organisation get a Big Lottery Fund award.

Just last weekend three teams created by the BRAG team, under the guiding hand of Youth and Community Development Manager Kirsten Spence, went to Rockingham and did very well in the national championships.

MP for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath, Roger Mullin, is delighted with the news and said: “I was delighted to hear that BRAG Enterprises Limited has been awarded £8,850 funding from the Big Lottery Fund’s Investing in Ideas programme.

"I understand that this award will be used to link all of the Formula 24 Projects in Scotland together, to facilitate a more coordinated experience.

“I am enormously impressed by the Formula 24 programme, which promotes engineering as a career, and Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) learning for 11-15 year olds, through the building and racing of full size battery powered racing cars, and I wish them all the very best for all future endeavours.”
