THE new Benarty Skatepark and Multi Use Games Area was officially opened on Saturday by former councillor Willie Clarke.
Willie had promoted this project during his time as chairman of Cowdenbeath Area Committee and he was delighted to see it open.
It was a big day in Ballingry with the product of hard working young people finally arriving and ready to use.
The Benarty Forum were delighted to see the opening of the skatepark officially opened and Michael O'Hare commented: "It has taken a bit longer than expected due to the design and other projects that were taken place in other areas.
"But it was a great day and once again well supported by the local community.
"The young group should be congratulated on their vision on what they wanted and the work that they put in, and the Forum were only to happy to give them a hand. This will be a great asset to the area."
