LAST night Lochgelly was awarded the title Scotland's most improved town in the SURF Awards.
The success was announced at an awards night in Glasgow.
The town was competing with several quality entries but the judges were impressed with the work done to improve the face of the former mining burgh.
Secretary of Lochgelly Community Council, Stevie Murray said: "Excellent news and reward for all the organisations and people who have been working hard to make a real difference to the face of the town."
