Cowdenbeath 20s 0,

Alloa Athletic 20s 3.

THE Cowden youngsters went down to a third successive defeat at New Central Park, Kelty, on Monday night which left them three points adrift at the foot of the table.

Cowdenbeath had started the game brightly dominating the opening stages but it was the Wasps who opened the scoring after 21 minutes with their first shot on goal when John CUNNINGHAM fired home an angled shot from the edge of the box.

The loss of the goal disrupted the Blues' rhythm and 12 minutes later the visitors doubled their advantage when Mark GREENE fired home a powerful shot from the edge of the box.

CUNNINGHAM then got his second goal of the night after 67 minutes when he beat the offside trap and ran in on goal to slot the ball past Jamie Sneddon.
